Geno V exploded onto the G-rap scene in 1994 with his debut offering, "Take Me Serious." Later that year, the hit song,"Este Vato", was featured on the Microphone Theology unsigned rap artist compilation, and his ministry really took off.

Raised in the roughest neighborhoods in South Texas, Geno V was just another vato loco, trying to represent the hood. But in 1984, he accepted Christ and became interested in Christian Rap.

Geno V has developed a unique style which he calls Hip-Spanicó, a bilingual blend of Spanish and English Rap incorporated with the Latin Music of Tejano, Tex-Mex and some International flavors.

Geno V has been featured in Heaven's Hip-Hop Magazine, in His Hands, You! Magazine, CCM and a number of other publications, he has done concerts with several major recording artists and is constantly doing tours and shows. Due to his aggressive itinerary, he has sold over 15,000 cassette tapes of his album, "Take Me Serious," at concerts prior to signing with GT Latin. In 1994, he was voted one of the top Christian Rap Artists in the nation in an independent survey. In 1995, he received the Reader's Choice "G-Rap & Hip-Hop" Music Award for Favorite Underground Joint of the Year."

Hard at work in the labs at Voyage Sound Studios, Geno V is cooking up a Latin delight.
